Famed Yahoo! Answers Users-Edna Bambrick Users on Yahoo! Answers get to know each other, basically by answering and asking questions and discovering the different view points of the numerous different people who visit there. Some establish deeper connections, by emailing and IMing each other, but there are some users who gain enough fame on Yahoo! Answers, without even being "Featured Users". These rare people may be singled out for any number of reasons, but whatever the reason, its clear that these people gain some great fame, maybe without even wanting it. Edna Bambrick, a name that any active current Yahoo! Answers user will know is one of these such people. Almost EVERYONE on Answers has their own opionion about Edna, but regardless of what anyone thinks, she is obviously a very popular woman on Yahoo! Answers. Her legacy and popularity have shadowed her true mission on answers. Edna is a Christian woman, who joined answers and immediately began to make some people very upset. She declared that some of the questions and answers on Yahoo! Answers were dirty, unclean and were clearly breaking Yahoo guildlines. She began to "report" these questions/answers to Yahoo. Her reporting answers and questions caused great anger toward her, declaring she had no right to stop some people from having a little fun on Yahoo! Answers. Before long, other people began to make other "Edna Bambrick" accounts mocking her name and her constant reporting. Currently, there are over thirty (and counting) different accounts that seek to destroy and anger Edna for her work on answers, or at least mock her and play with her popularity. These account names include: Biker Edna, Gay Edna, edna_ishere, Goth Edna, Flower Child Edna, Vomit Edna, Edna the Viking, Fredna Bambrick, Bling Bling Edna, Sex Kitten Edna, Barney Bambrick, My Big Fat Greek Edna, Edna Bongbrick, Stick Edna Bambrick, Boxer Edna, Edna Wonka, Edna CrackBrick, Edna Bambshit and many, many more, each looking for a share in Edna's popularity. Users on Answers have been split on how to take this woman. As mentioned earlier, some clearly hate her and want her gone. Some believe that Yahoo! Answers does need cleaning up, and that she is just trying to make it a better place. Some have no opinion, but throughly enjoy those who impersonate her, and the havoc her name and her impersonaters have caused on Answers. Some simply want the peace and quiet, and do not like the havoc her simply being there is causing. Whether the "Edna Bambrick affair" will come to a quick close or not, its clear that its causing quiet a stir in Yahoo! Answers dynamic. |
